  Visited Tuesday in Easter school holidays. The price had gone up to more than £8 for an adult which is not mentioned on their site. The museum has some interesting displays but is pretty dry. We were not told but the dredger moored outside that is part of the museum is only open Weds to Sunday. I asked about it and one of the 5 staff hanging around the shop told me they could not open it. Pretty disappointing and overall quite dull.

  Great before the refurbishment but at least one whole floor has been closed and lots of content removed from the others. My children's favourite was the working model of a lock system; I suspect that was the first thing out of the door.
  
  It feels as if the designers have convinced the trustees that this is how to cater for a demographic that neither of them has much idea about.
